Need Info on HIDs to settle dispute

Someone is trying to tell me that the HIDs from a 2k2 are different from those on a 2k3. I told him that they are interchangable.

His answer was "Yes you can, but they are still different"

what is he talking about?

yeah. everything on the 2k2 and 2k3 are the same except some cosmetic stuff.
