spring installation

What is the normal price for spring installation. Just the installation not the springs. A nissan dealer in NJ (O'Brian Nissan) wanted $700, I told them to F*ck off.

$700

You can do it yourself if you have basic automotive knowledge and a few tools. In some places you can even rent a spring compressor so it would cost you next to nothing to DIY.

Is that per spring or for the whole job? I asked a guy around here (Philly area) just out of curiosity and he said a ballpark figure would be $100 per spring.

I have heard a $40/wheel price here in the Bay Area. If you get springs and shocks, you can have people install both for the price of just one wheel or maybe a nominal increase in price (45 per wheel).

You may want to post this in your regional forum.

$100 for the whole thing... you can actually rent a spring compressor and do it yourself... but it's really a hassle IMO...unless you have a lift

Where in NJ are ya? I had mine done originally for $200 (for all 4) at a local mechanic in Parsippany, but did them myself the second time around.

I'll be in the Atlanta area soon and wanted to install some lowering springs for a 2k2 SE. Does your friend sell springs as well?
