Pep boys 6 dollar caliper paint. Works just as good, trust me. Even in AZ heat it's solid

Does this dry faster than the Foliatec? I never even thought of this...

I used high-temp Duplicolor engine enamel. It works great. Just make sure whatever you use is high temp, and allow it to dry properly before rollin'...

let it cure after a 100 mph quick stop, .. a couple of times, if your rotors can take it ...

See if it stands up to MN/IL cold... the salt from the winter roads... acid rain from the city...

Serious. You get what you pay for. Ask Speedy6. He painted his calipers with the 'cheaper' paint and they now look a little faded. My Foliatec paint doesn't fade... and I am going to help Speedy redo his calipers.

Whatever makes you feel good about a 40 dollar can of paint my friend. I have friends back east, up north, down south, all using cheap pep boys type paint. One can was enough to coat 8 calipers 4 times. Dried pretty quick too and it's been black as night for a year so far and others for much longer. And even if it ever fades, 6 bucks more and you can add 8 more coats to each of the 4

Here in Northern Cal, I used high temp paint. Works okay but doesn't stand up to any kind of abuse (changing pads, etc.). Of course its about a 15 second job to touch it up though. If the salt/rain/etc. does really take its toll you might want to consider something like Foliatec. Its a bit of a pain to take the wheels off, clean the calipers, etc. Probably be worth the extra $30-40 not to have to repeat the process.
