There was a dirt line on my ceiling, on the moonroof panel marking where it opens to when the roof is open. I cleaned it with regular upholstery cleaner (can't remember what kind), and it worked perfectly.

I have the same problem.

Lots of dust from the open sunroof.

The best way I found is with a very soft brush and a vacuum.

You won't get it all out, that is for sure.

I don't know if you can use the rental power steamers to get the stuff out. I would be affraid of the liner stretching, making look like a 1977 Nova.

It takes a lot of skill to get dirt on the ceiling

I had a 77 Nova in high school... That 305 had 3.5-like pull. Come to think of it, I couldn't get the footprints off the ceiling either.

Actually, if I remember right, the ceiling was some type of perforated fiberboard. (Like anybody cares.)
