They use that "antenna" for parking I think. The tip lights up so they know how far they are to another car. Look closely at the top of the antenna and notice it's clear.

If you mount them sideways, just before or after the front and rear wheels, you can use them to know when you are about to hit the curb when parking.

Yeah, and it'll break right off. You can buy some metal wires (don't know what they're called) that does the curb detection thingy.

Yeah, I do, they used to just bolt em on at any friggin angle they could. Man, WTF were people thinking back then??? I was thinking about putting some wire wheels with diamond jubes on the Max too, but....NOT!
