No Front License Plate

Hi,

I moved to Florida where they only use one license plate in the back. Now I'm left with an ugly mounting bracket in front. I don't want to get a plate for the front, so what are my options.

If I remove it entirely, I'll be left with two white holes. I thought about maybe using touch up paint on them. What has everyone done to get around this issue?

Thanks,
Matt

We dont need front plates in AZ either. A member on this board by the name of wild ***** I think sells plugs to cover the holes in your front bumper.

I've got the answer...

All I used on my car was black nail polish, a great way to spend $2.39, and it looks just like the real paint...go for it man, just make sure your girlfriend buys the goods for you!!

My friend..I have plugs. Have them in my car and many Altima's and Maxima's..Send me a PM pr e-mail if you are interested.. The come sanded and primed ready for paint. All you need is the touch up paint from the dealer in your color.

I fixed this problem for $0.89 for some nylon hole plugs and a little touch up paint. I have some more photos on my homepage at http://www.cardomain.com/id/xraydoc99

Hmmm

My front plate bracket is still in the plastic bag in the trunk. There are two small dimples where the bracket goes... but they are not noticable.

I know this doesn't help you though.

BTW, you should use touch up paint that actaully matches your car... don't ghetto it up by cutting corners. Just MHO.

This topic vexes me. Some A-hole backed into me so hard the screws that hold the license plate made a pretty deep impression into the bumper behind it

Me when I found it:
WTF, Son-of-A-arrgh, motherF@!#&er, ....

ok that feels a little better ....

Does anyone know a easy fix without getting the whole bumper repainted? The pits are not that deep.

I cant see it but I know its there

I had no front license plate on my Intrepid for 3 years (illegal in IL) and NEVER ONCE got pulled over for it. When I got pulled over for my rear license plate bulb being out (he said he "couldn't read the plate"), he never noticed I didn't have a front (or did notice, and didn't care).

Now, if you have tinted windows, clear corners, loud muffler, blah blah blah... and no front license plate, well... that is just asking for multiple tickets. A friend of mine who is a trooper... if he pulls over a modded car and gets attitude, he writes out a citation for each and every offense. When 7 tickets go in front of the judge, at least 2 or 3 are going to stick.
