Frankencar ordered...is it coming?

I ordered a Frankencar intake from frankencar.com about a month ago, and I haven't heard a word about it since. Its not here and they never sent me anything saying when it would show up. I've tried calling numerous times with no answer, and I can't get on the website. Is this normal for them, or did I just take it up the A$$?

I'm broke as a joke so I can't afford any new mods for a couple months, so I'm depending on this one to hold me over until I get a little more $$$.

Heh, good luck! It took 2-3 weeks for mine to show up. In the meantime I bought a used Injen. The guy buying my Frank outta be thankful he's not having to wait them! ROFL

This is exactly why I haven't ordered from them. I want to, but I just can't bring myself to pay $150 and then cross my fingers and hope. I should have bought t56gen3's when I had the chance!

I had my friend do it through paypal, I'm not sure if it can be cancelled. I heard all good things about the frankencar thats why I ordered it. I don't mind the wait as much as I mind wondering if its actually EVER going to be sent (although 1-2 week delivery would have been nice)

No, actually from what I've read the Apexi is better than the K&N. But it does say on frankencar.com that ordering it with the Apexi will take longer than just getting the K&N.

It's a "mom & pop" operation. I'm sure they all have full time jobs elsewhere. You can't be in a hurry with them, just be patient.

Re: Frankencar ordered...is it coming?

Call him and leave him a message. He will hopefully get back to you in 3-4 days. Intakes a probably on back order. The same thing happened when I ordered one for myself and then later for my friend. Apparently they don't like to notify customers when things are back ordered.

The Apexi filter seems to be on constant backorder. I was reading the group deal thread and the last I saw, Apexi supposedly messed up on shipping the intakes so there is another delay. IMO, ask for the K&N and a refund of the extra. I have the Apexi now, but I think the K&N might be a better buy. Just don't over oil.

APEXI hasn't shipped the filters to them. Look in the Group Deals section. I posted everything that Steve has been telling me.

Could I have the link? I guess I shouldn't expect it to come in anytime soon...maybe another 3-4 weeks hopefully? Thanks for the info!

Well it seems that all the issues are associated with APEXI filters, I just got the midpipe I hope it comes soon, but still no response from Steve or anybody listed on their site, makes me concerned.

Yea, it seems like leaving a message is the best thing. Steve called me back about 2 days after I left a message. Again, leave a message and ask him to call you back. Steve's a great guy and hes not trying to rip anyone off.

I ordered mine on 4/28 and it was shipped the next day. It was a red midpipe w/ K&N so it may just be that they had them in stock.

frankencar intake

I have an apexi on order as well. It was ordered 4/29 and still nothing. I have been in conversation with steve and he reasures me that they are on the way. As of our conversation yesterday it looks like another 2 weeks. These things better worth the wait.
Any info anyone can provide will be helpful.
Thanks
