Super Sedans

Super Sedans
I know I'm totally going of the subject with this one but I want to know what the general public Consensus is on this, because me and my friends go at it all day with this. Since each one of you love your Maxima's, that means you are into the sport sedan's scene. Which of the following Super Sedans would you choose, money being no object:
2003 Mercedes Benz E55AMG 469hp@6100rpm 516lb-ft@2650rpm
2004 Audi RS6 450hp@5700rpm 414lb-ft@1950rpm
2003 BMW M5 394hp@6600rpm 368lb-ft@3800rpm
2003 Jaguar S-TYPE R 390hp@6100rpm 399lb-ft@3500rpm
IMO I would definitely go with the E55 AMG, I used to love the BMW M5 not that I don't like it anymore it's just that the following number's the E55 AMG recently put up on Car and Driver can't be ignored.
0-60mph: 4.3 seconds
0-100mph: 9.9 seconds
0-150mph: 24.3 seconds
1/4 mile: 12.3 seconds@116 mph
2003 Mercedes Benz E55AMG 469hp@6100rpm 516lb-ft@2650rpm

The new E55 AMG will rip almost all sport sedans apart. It's a crazy car with a V8 and all that other crap you said up there. Think about it, that car doesn't even come in manual (has that sequential crap) but is still able to pull 60 in less than 5 seconds. I gotta get me one of those.

Wait until next year (or year after) M5, rumor has it V10 and 500Hp. I'm also looking forward to the CTS V-Series. I saw it at the NY Auto Show, WOW. 400HP (Corvette LS6 V8) and a 6 Speed ONLY at the bargin price of $50k. I'm not a big Benz fan since they don't offer manuals and seem to love their Superchargers. Something is to be said for big HP naturally (i.e. BMW and CTS V-Series).
Not that I could afford any of these anyway.

I've got it! This vehicle gets good mileage, has huge power and TQ, is AWD, has 4 doors and a 6.5' bed in the back...
Only thing, it's not a sedan...
'03 7.3L F250 Powerstroke Quad Cab tuned by Banks performance. Actually, the guy I work with drives a heavily tuned Banks F250 ('99). Dang thing gets 15 MPG in the city, and can get 20 on the highway, but he can whoop my Maxima's a$$ any day and any time...even launching in 4 HI. It's just not fair...

RS6 does come in sedans.
those things are nice and with just a chip you can get more then 500hp and then it will beat every single sedan out there. The M5 handling is amazing, my dad's friend had one and that car is amazing.
the E55 has a supercharger, dont know how reliable they are , since superchargers suck.
Isnt the Jag supercharged too?
basicly, it all comes down to the M5 and the RS6 which comes with 6 speed AUTO and 19" rims. no traction problems because of quattro and you should see the front seats on those things...fuc!ing sick!
they get also full torque at 1950 rpm, can you say 414 torque right there

i have always loved the M5 but you cant agrue with the numbers the competitors are putting up. although the benz is fast, the audi is almost as fast, not to mention more reliable, and allwheel drive.
O YEAH, DID I MENTION A MANUAL TRANS!! i would take the audi for sure, but when the new M5 comes out i will change my mind in a split second, shortly after messing my pants

id go with the S600
Twin Turbo 5.5L V-12
493bhp/590 lb/ft torque- at 1800rpm!!!
0-60 in 4.3sec
0-100 in 9.7sec
1/4 mile in 12.5 @ 115mph
id have the room of an S-class but be able to beat any of the super sedans or a Ferrari 575M that would happen to cross my path....and how much fun would it be to start conversations using "Twin-Turbo V-12"......mwahahahaha

while i love the e55 and the rs6 both beasts
you will find that every review for all those cars is that the only negative things about it is that the computer does most of the driving for you
this is exactly why i think out of all those that you listed the m5 is the only true Driver's Super Sedan...
the other ones while power as hell and handle great, its is not as much fun driving the car, that you dont have any control over
computers=bad in any book

Well the new 5-series will be totally redesigned for 2004. The next M5 which is slated to be out in 2005 will obviously be redesigned. The Big news is though that the car will be sporting an M-tuned V10, sources say the engine will produce anywhere between 500 and 550 horsepower, My friend read somewhere that the final product will be pushing 520 horsepower. Also as always manual tranny will be standard, but for about 2 grand you can opt for a 7-speed SMGII transmission. And as far as handling goes....well it's an M-tuned BMW...need I say more.

call me crazy but I think mercedes' V12 are over rated. For all that power, I would think it should kill the V8, but it really doesn't. Also, imagine the gas milage for the 2004 M5...Wonder if it'll be the same as a suburban...
