Timing advance question

Timing advance question

I was reading a post and someone said that they did a timing advance? and i was just wondering what that was and what it did. thanks

It advances ignition timing (spark timing.) It requires a Consult II OBDII scanner which is primarily found at Nissan/Infiniti dealers. It made a noticable difference in my 2k3 and my buddy's 2k2. Trying to find a dealer to do it for you will be a whole 'nother story.
