Question on installing a FSTB
Question on installing a FSTB
Do I NEED a torque wrench to install my FSTB? If so, how many pounds?
I think I bought a crappy FSTB. I think it won't fit over the intake manifold because it is very flat. Are there differences between the 2k-2k1 manifolds and the 2k2-2k3's? Thanks in advance

Re: Question on installing a FSTB
1) Yes, you should have a torque wrench to install the FSTB. Set it to 34 ft.-lbs.
2) The intake manifolds between the '00/'01 and '02/'03 are different. Some FSTBs that were originally made for the '00/'01 have an issue with '02/'03s where they will just barely clear, but will knock against the manifold when the car is in reverse. The simple solution is to go to a hardware store and get some washers to put at each bolt location to raise the FSTB just a bit. It's not that the FSTB is crappy.
