I live in California and the window tinting laws are: No tint on windshield, or front windows. No law on tinting the rear window and side windows.

So, what percent tint do you reccomend? 5% tint is nice but it is too obvious and illegal. Oh...yes, I think tinting only the rear windows is too unbalanced.

What do you reccomend?

 

If you like balance, go with 35% all around (minus windshield). I went with darker rears and lighter fronts so they don't seem too obvious.

 

20% in rears 35% in fronts, it blends nice. Or if you wanna go 5% rears and 20% fronts it'll also blend nice (a 2k maxima in my town has that) but it is really dark lookin in the front since no light is entering the back of the car)

 

I have 5% across the front, 20% on the front doors, 5% on the rear doors, and 5% across the rear. Not too bad, but I like a dark car...

Would prefer 5% on the front doors too, but illegal here! The only problem I had on the tint was the blacked out portion across the back glass where the antenna in the glass is. You really have to work that area to get all the bubbles out. Other than that it is cool though! Have fun.

 

i got my tint from the dealer, but i have no idea what the tint % is, i live in oklahoma if that helps, i tried calling the dealership up, but they are too busy, and i dont want to go down there, the dealership is 30 miles away. it looks kinda dark, and its definately darker in the rear than the front. can someone help me please.
