My (non-Bose) stock CD player doesn't seem to work anymore... It won't eat the discs (they go maybe 1/2 way and get stuck?), I can push them in but when it tries to play it says "CD ERR F3" and then spits the CD out?

I'm planning to take it to Nissan and get it fixed/replaced, but wanted to know if anyone else had this happen and what you did to fix it.

Had the same problem brought it to dealer and got a new one. If u use burned CD's don't tell them

 

They had to replace it!!!!!!

 

Burned CD's are the Issue. You have to "finalize" them, otherwise the player wont work. I had that problem in my bose CD changer. Once I started finalizing, the porblem went away. Try that.

 

Pretty scary. Mine just started doing the same thing on Saturday. It's not an issue with burned CD's because it does it to originals too. It almost seems like the CD player is engaging the CD before it has been inserted all the way. Any idea on out of warranty cost to replace OEM system? Or should I look at alternatives?
