I'm CONFUSED

People are naturally wary of cars with mods, especially performance mods. Assumptions are the car has been beaten on (whether true or not) and/or the mods have somehow had a negative impact on its reliability, etc. by messing with stock setups.
Re: I'm CONFUSED
Mods add no actual value to your car and will make it difficult for you to sell to the average used-car buyer. This kind of buyer will almost always assume you've driven your car as hard as you can all the time.
Your car as it was stock is worth a continually depreciating monetary value while the mods are more of a sentimental value. Only if you show/sell your car to someone who likes the 'wow'-factor of your modded car will that person appreciate its total value.
So the moral of the story...if you modify your car, keep all your original parts so you can put them back on when/if you sell the car (or if you bring it in for service). Then sell all the mods afterwards on eBay or wherever.
Peace.
