Radio and Clock went out? Help

The radio went out while I was listening to a CD as well as the clock. I checked all the fuses and they are OK. The radio buttons light up but won't accept any cd's or play the radio and the display won't light up. What's the deal?

Sounds like you blew a fuse. There is a fusebox under the hood as well as the dash. The radio has a constant +12v fuse as well as a ignition-switched power on fuse. Dunno for sure on the Max, but most the time the cig lighter is on the same fuse as the constant +12v, and usually under the hood. Many times I have seen a coin get dropped in the cig lighter, especially if it's close to the ashtray, and short out the fuse. Check both. Lights should still come on with the parking lights (different circuit.)

Test the fuses with the ignition ON and with a Voltmeter only! Hope that helps.

The cigarette lighter works as I have a radar detector hooked up to it. I checked all the fuse, including fues under the hood and under the driver side. It might be a loose wire.

I assume you checked the fuses with a DMM? Looking at them is not adequate. Check ALL of em, not just the ones labeled "radio" etc. Very often are they mistagged or shared with other circuits. I've seen several fuses that look good visually and are bad in reality. The cig lighter may/may not be on the same ciruit, so that doesn't say for sure. It is highly unlikely you have a loose wire from the factory, though it is possible. A bad harness is more likely, but doesn't make sense that it took out the clock too. If you can't figure it out and you haven't done any aftermarket wiring, then take it in and let Nissan figure it out. That's what warranties are for.

Find that little wheel thing right next to your side mirror adjustment. Turn it all the way to the right. Peace...
