Brakes making grinding sound when raining or wet

What up all, has anyone experienced a problem with their 2K SE brakes making a grinding noise when wet or raining? My right front brake does this only when it's wet. I felt both sides of the rotor and don't feel any gouges or rough spots. The dealer I bought the car from replaced both front rotors and pads being that they we squeaking when applied. I am wondering if it's the pads or rotors causing this.

But none the less it is sooo F*#king aggravating.

The rain causes the rotors to rust so when you hit the brake pedal, it's the sound of the rust being takin off. It happens to every one including me.

Are you talking about the whole time you have been driving for several miles and several stops (during the rain), or just during the first few stops after having the car sit for a period of time (rain or dry after a rain)?

THAT would be rust on the rotors. Pretty common.

It is if while driving a while in the rain it still happens I would wonder what was going on.

It happens all the time when it rains not only for the first couple miles. I also though it was rust because I noticed this with all my previous cars but they make that grinding noise even when the rotors are gleaming......

Clean your disk brake and Caliper once a month. I used to have the same problem, after I clean Caliper and disk brake, I no longer hear the noise.

How does one do that? Pressure washer at the Car Wash or do they sell something to spray on them?

Any autoparts store/department sells brake cleaner...just MAKE SURE you read the directions on what it can be sprayed on and what to avoid.

depending upon ur year, look for brakes under www.nopionline.com (my badd for the wrong url)

brembo blanks are regular rotors (not drilled/slotted) made by Brembo...they better than stock and from what I hear on other sites, slotted/drilled actually are worse than blanks because of the less surface area...

for $40 u can't go wrong....thats the price for OEM rotors

Buy a brake cleaner with the "Chloriated"<----probably typo formula,
those are fast drying formula, after spraying it, let the brake dust and dirt to drip on the ground. It is safe for direct spraying on Disk brake and Caliper.

If you thinks that sounds badly, wait till you activate the ABS. First time I heard that sound while driving on snow, I thought my wheels were falling off.

With most brake cleaners, OH YES!!!...unless you want pitted, etc. rims afterward.

Also, be VERY careful around any painted body panels, etc.

Actually, if you think that is too much effort, why don't you just take the car somewhere for a 'brake inspection', have them check it out, spray if needed, and while there you could always have them rotate the tires (if you can talk them into it).

It seems like a lot of people have the same problems with their brakes. I might just install the Bremo Blanks as NT2SHBBY suggested. I can see myself taking the ****in rims and tires off on a monthly basis to clean the f@#king rotors and pads. This Suxs!!

I would still take it somewhere if it is doing this while raining all the time. I have over 37K on my AE, have never had to spray them down and other than the 'first couple miles rust removal' have had no sounds at all. Can't see where later cars would have this problem be so pronounced.
