Oil filter size

Is anyone else concerned about the size of the oil filter on our cars? This thing is TINY! I have never seen a car with this small of an oil filter.

If Nissan's engineers were smart enough to come up with the VQ, I trust them on the oil filter. There are plenty of threads on brand, etc. of oil filters, just stick with a premium brand and you're OK.

I do remember the FL-1 from the old Ford products, those things were huge, held a quart of oil, maybe more.

try the 15208-9E000, its a little bigger and better quality than the one the dealership either used or sold you.

Oil Filter

I didn't think much of the OEM filter size when I changed oil for the first time. After looking at most common brands, I discovered the Fram PH7317 was somewhat larger so I used one of those. Fram uses a paper end cap though and I consider it of poor quality. I'm now using Walmart's SuperTech 7317(same size as Fram). I cut one open and it's a quality filter inside.
