Performance Y Pipe Help...

Performance Y Pipe Help...
I have a 2000 Maxima SE California model and want to get a performance Y-PIPE. I am looking at Stillen, Warpspeed, and Cattman.
I am completely confused. Everyone I have talked to claims that there are different Horsepower and torque gains between brands.
Also that there are problems with how certain brands fit and that some make banging sounds against the car.
Does anyone know which brand can give me the best power results along with fitting correctly?
Your Help Is Greatly Appreciated.

some pipes hit the crossbrace under the pipe under acceleration. to fix this remove the brace or place washers on new bolts to lower the brace a little bit.
I have the cattman pipe and feel it is good because of the materal. the stillen pipe is also good but does not hold up to rust.
hope this helps

It is illegal to run with the Y pipe. It removes the Pre-cats. Some muffler shops will not even do it.
The vehicle will pass inspection without them, but it needs to be very warm first.
If I were nissan and you came in with a Y-pipe and saying your engine isn't quite right, I would not look at the car.

Since we are on the topic, what is the expected horsepower gain on 02 from a Frankencar intake, Random tech. high flow cat, y pipe and b pipe but stock muffler. I here that a y pipe does not do that much for the 02/03's, is this true?

your wasting a lot of money, the ypipe performance is negligible (i have one), warp speeds products suck anyhow I think, as well as their service. Also, the cat you have is fine, you aren't going to see much there... the B pipe is good though, why dont you get the greddy evo exhaust? That would be similar cost to all of that, and I personally think would out perform that setup you listed. You would see a difference with the aftermarket muffler no doubt...

Really now? Would you really like to stand behind that statement? How do you figure a cat-back giving higher gains than a y-pipe that eliminates the precats. The stock y-pipe is the biggest bottleneck on the exhaust side period.
Edit: BTW, double post>you
