Insurance for your Rims

Thought you all would find this very useful. A co-worker of mine busted 2 of their $500 Volvo rims on a NY State Thruway due to a serious construction pothole. Apparently, you can call the NY Transit Authority and get reimbursed for the damage since the contractor on the site, by law, must carry insurance. I know this has happened to many of us and may be applicable in other states. I'll keep you posted if I hear anything more.

yes but they will ask if you have insurance first. They will end up paying your deductable (just hope your rates dont go up). I had this problem with flat tires where a contractor was working.
