need to vent maxima had a bad day

well the day started out good by giving it a car wash but while doing this i find these big scraches on my car. luckly its on my bumper and towars the bottom. the weird thing is i didnt do it or i just dont remember but i think i would have felt something at least a sound and everyone in my family says that they didnt drive it. oh well but its going to cost me 100-300 dolalrs to fix it. but yea i also have a stain like bird crap. how can i get rid of this??? it hasnt even been on the car that long. also i have post some pic of the scraches. sory for being long but need to vent
thanks

haha...that's funny...i have something similar like that on my rear Stillen valence...on the underside too...i've always just thought something must have hit it while i was driving...don't worry too much about those things dude...the more you worry, the more you become paranoid about it and then the car owns you.

true on the not worrying about it part, but yeah my car owns me too ...it just looks TERRIBLE...i guess if i look at it with the possibility of maybe covering it up with a Stillen valence and repainting the rear bumper itll all be ok....but til i get the $$$ for the Stillen valence (Stillen touring kit i should say I wont buy just a rear valence, if im gonna do somethin, im gonna do it right ) im stuck with that nasty crack.

The scratch doesn't look that bad. It can be buffed otu with some compund and an orbital.

Just throw on a rear stillen valence. That'll hide the crack. And you can probably compund the scratch ontop of it out. It'll be cheaper that way and you get a mod out of it

I just had my rear bumper fixed. Around $600, R&R and repaint. Sorry about your bumper. I had some bird poop on my wing that left a bad mark. I don't have a buffer, but I use Meguiar's Scratch-X and Gold Class Swirl Remover and Gold Class Wax to remove the mark. It didn't come off with the first application, but each application got better. Can't hardly see it now. A buffer would probably do better. Just my experience ...

Use some quick detailer and a microfiber towel to get that crap off. Do it soon or it's going to etch the paint.

Use a Clay Bar they are very good at taking surface stains out of paint.

be careful... it sounds like you have used a number of mild abrasives on your stain. it won't be long before you will have cut through the clear coat and then the silver base color. you could end up having a more objectionable thin (lightened) area than the residual stain! I tried to polish a mark off a Datsun a few years ago and ended up thinning the paint enough to notice at a distance. You couldn't see the effect up close.

Don't not worry about it...just leave it alone, after a few days, you will feel it looks fine on your bubmper. Spend the $300 on other mods.
