Strange ^

I've notice excessive tire wear on the insides of my tires. It seems to be more apparent in the front.

I've got about 20K on my Maxspeed w/stock strut, tires, and rim. I had the alignment done 3 weeks after the installation and noticed wear in the front about 3 months after. I had the local shop check the alignment, but they said it was within spec??

I now notice the fronts are wearing again on the inside. Depending on the road condition, the ride does bounce under moderate or heavy load. Is this bouncing what is causing the inside wear??

Does anyone else have this problem? any suggestions??

Thanks for the reply.

I assume you installed the springs on 03/20/03. I've got about 8 months and 20K on mine and did not notice any excessive wear until 3 months later (but I do travel alot).

Keep an eye on your front...

Should I take it to a different shop to have the alignment checked? Maybe the original shop did not want to fool with adjusting or even admiting the specs were off? They did show me a 4 wheel analysis sheet that seems to be legit.

There's really nothing shady about this shop, I just don't trust shops sometimes....Just like everything in life, it depends on the time, day, and mood.

At this point in time it certainly wouldn't hurt.

Post your alignment specs. I bet your running slightly into Negative Camber.

I don't have them with me now, but I do recall something like "-1/8" and "-1/4". I don't remember.

Does this make sense to you? Do I assume "0" is perfect. Could I get them to adjust it more?
