Exterier lighting questions

I want to brighten my exterier lights. I want to brighten the headlights, and the front side markers. What's the best bulbs to get?

I have clear sidemarkers and went with polarg bulbs, for headlights i would look at PIAA's.

i asked this same headlight question a few months ago when i was getting ready to do this.

everyone told me to go with the PIAAs as well. but, i didn't want to spend the $75 a bulb! so, i had also heard about Sylvannia SilverStars. I picked two of them up from my local Advance Auto for $20 each. they were a breeze to install and look great. they are white (rather than the stock yellow or blue like some other upgraded bulbs are).

the PIAAs may be better for some reason...but i just didn't care to spend that much. its all a matter of personal taste...and how much $ you want to spend!

I had the SilverStars in my '02 and was disappointed in them. I almost made the leap to PIAA but a fellow org member pointed some new 5100K bulbs to me and I am loving the hell out of them.

I've tried about every bulb for my sidemarkers and was not impressed with the color, I will not use Polarg bulbs because I want my car to stay legal. I was tired of the dull red that looks pink and the amber that looks like a dull yellow. I bought some APC led bulbs and was not impressed and decided to experiment, I bought some Tamiya acrylic paint from a local hobby shop, the paint is translucent red and yellow. I dipped the bulbs in the paint and its the best colored bulbs I've seen. They have a deep red for the rear sidemarkers and deep yellow for front.
