2002/2003 have the 3.5 and are significantly quicker than the 2000/2001

Well i guess relatively the 00-01s (3.0 222hp, 227 AE) are the slower ones while the 02-03s (255 hp 3.5) are quicker. I have driven both and yes the 02-03 are faster...and yeah you can feel it...

Except the '01 AE is supposed to have 5hp more than the other 2k's & 2k1's.

227 Ae meant 227 hp for the Aniversary Ed.

Ahhh jeez. I'm a bonehead. I was eating lunch when I read your post... wasn't paying attention too well. I was too eager to show the little bit of knowledge I have.

haha Pir8

But yes, there is a significant difference in power between the 3.5L 2k2-2k3 model and the 3.0L 2k-2k1 model. I'd like to see a race between a bone stock 2001 SE and a bone stock 2001 AE though, I wonder what that 5hp does...

I'm not claiming to know this, but from all of the dyno slips I've seen on the .org the extra 5 HP does not exist or make a difference rather.. What I mean is, the dyno slips all show the 2k's and 2k1's dynoing about the same (180 fwhp stock) I could be wrong but I think they all perform the same...

A race between a 2000-2001 5 spd and a 2002-2003 auto would be interesting also.
