fuel injectors

i drive a 97- with a s.ced 2000 motor. question is--does anyone know if the 2001 or up motors fuel injectors will fit in the 2000 motor? i am assuming that the new motor injectors flow more (for larger displacement motors) and are also the higher impedence type?? any info would be cool/ i just dont want to push the 2000 injectors to or past their duty cycle. thanx in adv.

2001 is still the same as the 2000, 2002 injectors dont fit in the 2001 cause its actually slightly different.

Right now no one makes out the box larger injectors, unless you get RC engineering to design you a set.

how much boost are you running? I think you dont need to upgrade your injectors if you are running less than 12psi. most injectors are unstalbe after 65psi of fuel pressure and I've seen 110+ psi on my gauge.

the previous owner of my SC kit was running 2.87, 13psi for daily driving. he had water injection. I am also running a 2.87 but I loose the BOV and am running 10psi peak.

anyways, 5th gen (2k,2k1) injectors are side feed and 300zxTT injectors are top feed. as Dixit mentioned that there's no bigger aftermarket injectors made for us. I would check the spark plug to see how's the car running. Also if you have a good A/F gauge or EGT...you can tell if your car is running lean.

to detect detonating....you can always build a cheap stethoscope.

think you wrote the top feed side feed backwards-anyways-right now im not worried-have it tuned well but like i said before, i dont want to push too hard when all the goodies are go. thanks for the info though-ill try to scope the dealer about the 2002+ injectors.
