350Z Dead Pedal, Headers?

I was thinkin about getting a 350Z dead pedal to go with a new set of racing pedals I got. But when I went to Courtesy to look at the 350 dead pedal, they looked " angled " I guess is the best word. Larger on top than bottom maybe? Anyway, I heard some people are using them, and they look good. They're only like $ 12.00, good price! I wanted to make sure it was the 350, and not another Z model dead pedal that works and looks good with the 5th Gen. Anyone?...... Bueller?

Also, does anyone know when headers are going to be available? There's been a lot of discussion about exhaust mods, but it sounds to me like there is not much of a gain from most of the exhaust mods on the 2k2 & 3, so I am hesistant now to get into it. But my experience has shown me that headers always do the trick.

Must...... not.... tell... noob to search. Resisting.

The Z dead pedal needs to be cut down to use in the Maxima, many have done it, me included. Headers aren't done yet, but they may actually happen. We'll see

There are directions on the forum to install the dead pedal...it tells you there is some minor cutting to be done to the pedal backing....

When I installed mine I simply unscrewed the metal plate from the backing plastic and screwed it directly into the carpet...it matches the accelerator pedal (no black holes) and no cutting

Doubt it....But I will work on that over my vacation..I am off the entire month of July.

I may be able to bake the black back plates I use for the dead pedals and see if they will go up through the holes when solft

I have the factory pedal with the rubber nibs and it's still slippery when you get them wet.. The worse pedal is the clutch pedal 4 some reason...

My Alti is an auto....and I can assure you...there is no slippage. I tested them against the OEM rubber pedals with various shoes and they perform about the same...except the rubbers seems to become very slippery at times.

Don't forget....I have my pedals clear coated too
