I don't know what is wrong with my maxima. The car doesn't have the same acceleration it had just a few months ago. It has 40K+ miles. Powertrain mods are; Frankercar w/ K&N, and UDP - that's it for now.

What could be causing this? Dirty air filter? Dirty MAF? Please, if anyone has any ideas, let me know.

 

Try runing the car on a cool night, and see if that makes a differents, I think it could be the hot weather we been getting.!!!!PS I have the same mods but my car is a 2k.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

man, whats up with the VQ? Even after all the awards, people still complain about powerloss and gas milage.. dont think a dirty air filter would make a noticable acceleration loss, unless youve never changed it!

 

When was the last time you gave it a tune up? Ie. Change the spark plugs, air filter.. etc.. Remember all this hot weather sucks.. We're just all sucking in hot air..

 

My car runs like a rocket at night, try it at night.!!!!!!!

 

I did drive my car tonight and it did run much better. However, sometimes when I drive at night (even when it's cooler) it still seems very sluggish.

Tonight was fun though. I blew the doors off a modded civic. Not a challenge, but sooo much fun!!

Maybe my MAF is dirty or something. I don't know why this car is sooo inconsistant with how it runs (?).

 

All 2k maxima's have a inconsistant on how they run. Take your car to the dealer.!!!!!!!

 

Did u drive in a 2k2-2k3 6speed and then got in your car?
Difference is night and day
