Is this a good deal or not?

I was at the local Suburu dealership and saw a 00 Maxima SE with 44K miles. It was pealwhite and had everything but navigation system and leather. The lowest they will go is going to be $14,000 for this car. This car is real clean inside and out. no scratches or stains inside. What do you all think? Should I go for it or no.

hertz has a thousand '02 and '03 SE for $16000-18000 plus they offer a 100,000 mile warranty for about $1300 and all service/repair history since new. the last of the new '03 are going for MSRP minus $6000 or about $19,000 (GXE) to $26000 for loaded SE/GLE. bottom line--$14,000 is too much for an '00.

if you buy that for 14000 dollars, you are a fool.. You can find a 2k2 for that much. Just take your time and shop around.

I concur.. For that many miles on a 00 iy's be a few G's cheaper.. I think my friend got a 00 with maybe like 80K on it for like less then 9K..

I personally don't think its a bad deal
yeah, hertz has the 02s for 17 ir so, but they aren't all over the country and they're SEs no leather, no bose or any other options.

2. Maybe by you there are 03s, but by me 03s are gone, dealers don't have them, won't locate them, History

3. Haven't seen any 14K 02s, they're not in the paper by me or at dealers, i've been looking. Any "cheap" 02s I've seen and by cheap I mean more expensive than 14... have been beat to hell..

Around here 00s seem to be more in the 16 price range, with a little less miles than yours.

Seems good to me if you like it

I misread.. thought it had leather. if it doesn't have leather, then it doesn't have heated seats or probably traction control.

which means all ya got is maybe a bose system and a moonroof.

go for cheaper. maybe 12 or 13. overall not terribly expensive, but not super attractive

I think I am going to hold off on this deal... The sales manager tols me I could have it overnight and I declined his offer. I might get emotionaly attached to the car and not make a logical decision.
