Two good kills last night :^D

I went to show a buddy of mine the new Max, and he was liking it quite a bit but still he said "I think I could take it"...he's got a 5-speed 4.3 Extreme, standard cab, so it's the lightest and fastest example of the breed for whatever that's worth. His is lighter still since he had all the stock ground f/x removed and the holes welded - he wanted a smooth/stealth look. Anyway, it's a good looking truck with several mods and from driving it I knew it was "quick" but I also knew I would smoke him . I said "well that sounds like a challenge", and we headed off to a safe place. Suffice to say, in all respects (from a stop, from a roll, up hill, down hill...) victory was mine. Even with pretty good wheelspin (this was the first time I had really booted mine from a stop) I pulled ahead off the line and the distance built at a staggering rate . Needless to say, he dug the Max.

As we were heading back, a fully tinted Lincoln LS came TEARING up behind us, and had obviously witnessed the last run we did. Seemed he wanted a piece of me. Him I only got to play with from a roll, never below about 40mph, but the results were similar. I love this car!

My kill last night was a Honda Civic weighted down with 4 kids. They were about 4 cars in front of me when they started to speed up so I had to show them who's boss before the 2 lanes merged into one. Not a great kill but a kill none the less Oh and after that move I can't wait until my Teins and GR-2s get installed on monday! I was floating like a Caddy

I got pulled by a modded '03 Golf 1.8T. He pulled hard off of the line
and kept going. I was ****ed. Now I have to deal with him at work.
I've only got a '00 SE stock 5 spd by the way.

IBTL, nice kill

I got pulled on by a GMC truck also, he took me bad!!! it was an early model S-10, it screamed off the line and was gone, all I saw was SYCLONE on the side buzz past me.. is there anyway I can beat this guy?..

dont answer the question, just a joke! I'll need lots of laughing gas.

I can't wait to have a run with the 280hp LS and any Caddy CTS.
A Typhoon or Cyclone will only beat a '02 Maxima off the line. From a roll the Maxima will win. A friend of mine had a Cyclone and he had trouble outrunning my SE-R.

I've had a run-in with an LS once. Long story short, lights turn green he took off like a rabbit - I figured it may be fun to see how my Max fares against him. He was out of the hole and had half a car length ahead of me.

Max redlines and shifts to 2nd and i still keep the distance the same. Shift to third and my max slowly pulls on him. At 80+mph i shut off and made my exit ahead.

All in all i think my Max did pretty well against the LS' V8 which has a bit more HP and Torque.

its like telling everyone how you smoked a kid riding his bike, well compared to a civic with 4 people in it, the bike would probably win

I like how Lincoln advertizes 0-60 in 6.25 secs -like the 5 in this
fig makes it so much faster-

Anyway my kill this morning was an RSX type S -I saw him cut through to meet me at the stop line at the light on my way to work- I noticed him staring and he pulled the nose of his car in front of me, I stood still, didnt bother looking over,I mean shyt I just rolled out of bed/yawnin' and shyt,
So he starts revvin' lightly gettin ready for green light, when the light turned thats when I released my clutch rode first to 4500rpm
(meanwhile he still has the nose on me)but when I slapped second
it fell back to 3300 rpm and started pullin(the franken was screming)
I looked back and he had a look on his face like "wa da fock!"
He slowed *** down and let someone else get in front of him in traffic
so that our cars wouldnt be side by side in traffic-
Just my two cents!! Holla!
Anyway my friend had one and I know those cars can bang- but they have to keep the revs over 5500 to develop their peak torque-

That's pretty good though - those 3.2s really scoot, and the VTEC certainly helps once rolling...

Non-kills

Way to tear him up - it would suck to get beaten by a truck (no, I have no plans to ever race a Lightning...).

Over the past few days I accidentally had fun with two other drivers; the funny thing was I didn't realize they were racing until after I passed.

One was a Leganza (guess that's a Kia...?). We were coming up on a great two-lane cloverleaf, where I like to test out my RSB. Punch it up to about 85, and leeeeaaaannnn into the curve. It was only as I was relaxing coming out of the curve that I realized Leganza-boy had discovered the concept of centrifugal force, and was drifting over onto the shoulder as he frantically tried to stay with the Max.

The other one was a Chrysler 300M. From an intersection turn I was accelerating medium-hard to move over for the highway on-ramp. I noticed I was gaining on the 300M a little slower than expected, so went a little harder so he had plenty of room. Again, it was only when I passed him (at less than full throttle) and heard his engine hitting about 6k that I realized he was actually trying to race and block me . Pretty funny.

My recent kills were a Monte Carlo SS off the line, and a modded Altima (older Gen, killed him 3 times and when I had to turn left, he looked at me smiling and gave me the 'thumbs up', then said "I thought you were going to give me another run"... yeah, right.)

"Daewoo"...I think you could get a tiny V6 in those, but not sure.

Funny you mention that 300M...the reason I bought the Max for "daily driver" is I am tired of my other "regular car", a Concorde with the 3.5 24V option. It's actually a pretty powerful engine, and drives really nice, I even put 300M rims on it; but it's just "not my style" if you know what I mean

And yeah it loses to the Max

02SEinStL... I had an Intrepid with the 3.5L (only came with 24V in it) and it was a great car. I actually would have kept it if (1) the transmissions were so crappy and (2) I didn't drive my g/f's 2k SE and get hooked on Max.

Yeah I should have said "the 24V 3.5L option" but I worded it funny .

I have been lucky and my tranny performs flawlessly in that car, but you're right the trannies just suck @ss as a rule...that's also why I buy GM trucks and not Rams - same problem
