First of all , TURN OFF CAPS... , did you get the right offset ? What width wheel and what size tire ? Do you have aftermarket springs ? There should be no rubbing on a 5th gen , unless you are rolling on a tire that is too big...

heh... its a good idea to research these sorta things before you go ahead and drop a couple grand on wheels that dont fit Live and learn I suppose. Go to a body shop and have them roll the fenders, if you attempt it yourself the paint might end up cracking. I would not cut the lip off, it'll probably end up rusting.

They are a set of Antera 309 wheels (staggered)F 20x8.5 / R 20x10 tire size F 245/35 - R 275/30. I have no problems with rubbing unless I have people in the back and it only rubs a little. please help

I'm new to Maxima's but isn't 20x10 way to wide for this car?

if you go to a real good wheel shop they should have a roller that is made to roll the fender. it only takes about 30mins.

got any pics?

ghetto???

Those Antera 309 wheels is far from ghetto. Those are some of the hottest wheels out there.
And seeing that he got 20's those was not some cheap wheels.
If you're going to roll on dubs do it right, and he is doing it right.
Do your research...

Nice

Having that much of a stager width its seems more of a racing set up and I doubt that those rims offset where designed for a Maxima, cause if you look in any book of shops that sell rims they won't have that setup in there, like with my 3rd gen RX-7 I had 18x10 Volk GT-N's on the rear and 18x8 on the front but I was sold 18x9 with a supra offset and the saleman thought that would be fine but it ripped my front fenders up and the saleman had to pay for it after I investigated the offset. So I'm assuming these wheels you got are used cause I doubt no rim shop is going to have 20x10 with a offset for a Maxima.

There is NOTHING Ghetto about this wheel .

You should have gotten the 20 X 8.5
I looked into putting Lowenhart Br5's in 19 X 9.5 and they were going to rub for sure. the 275's are for sure way to wide in the rear. I need to see pics of your car, because it must look wicked !!

Anteras never = Ghetto ! Remember this Max on the left ?

Sorry guys. IMO, ANY 20's on a Max = ghetto.

yo, it's a sedan, not a SUV, or a truck.

18's I can see, but rubbin' 20's? think.

out.

LOL, i used to think the same thing. But sometimes if its the right combination, its fabulous. You know whats really ghetto? When your rims cost more than your car.

CWALLY Thanks for posting pics!! Do you think I should lower it or keep it at stock height?? Once I have the fenders rolled I should have some more clearance.

Once your roll the fenders you will have no trouble at all.. you could lower it 5 inches and it wouldnt rub at all.

You should lower it at the same time it's getting the fenders rolled, they have to take off the wheels anyway.

A lot of people don't believe in 20s or staggering wheels on a FWD car, but I think it's nice to see people do different stuff.

Keep up the good work.

car looks good and i also like the stagger look.

from the pic you posted the rear looks good but the front looks kind of high. i would do a small drop on it or at least do somthing with the front.

All you need now is a body kit and you're set.

Oh my god... I can't even start to tell you how that **** is going to look with a body kit .

People are so concerned with 20s, to make up for other body parts. 80% of these people have bent wheels, the wrong offset, cheap wheels, bald tires, busted suspension (many cars are not built to hold such large and heavy wheels).

If u get 20s, u get a car or SUV that is built for them.

All I have to say is that your comment is so insane, that what I want to say will show up with asterisks on the thread... Bent wheels ?? I have had my 19's with dropped suspension for 30k miles, and I have 35 series tires.... NO BENT WHEELS ! I have even driven the Max in Tijuana and other parts of Baja in Mexico. No bald tires. I have a kick *** suspension, which will hang with any IS300 out there, and wrong offset ?? Maybe you need to just direct your comment somewhere else. As far as car being built to hold these wheels... Do you think Nissan made the Max to hold a 125 shot of Juice, or a Turbo , or even an intake, which makes our MAF's fail ?? Hasnt stopped me or most of the ORG members from doing it ! Im not trying to make up for anything. Come to one of the west coast meets, and you will see I am satisfied in every way

Yeah thats what I'm going to do next year.. These 18's are starting to look too small to me.. I'm either going 19 or 20.. I'm going to sell my 18's this winter and get my new rims next spring... A guy here has 20 in. spinners on his Max.. I'm gonna have to catch him and take some pics of his car to post on here..

you 5th gen guys should be getting 19 or 20" wheels, your cars look much bigger than the 4th gens.

most ppl around here go big and we have bad roads. a friend of mine has 21's on his G35 and the funny thing is that his car is so big and already low that he doesn't have to drop it. it looks like it's drop already unlike our 4th gens that look like 4X4's.
