Can somebody tell me who makes this molded alum dash kit, offered on EBay: http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI...item=547164785

I am looking for a MOLDED alum kit, complete. I am presuming the maker of this partial kit also makes a full kit.

I was tracking this on eBay too. If anyone knows more about this, would really be interested.

Oh, and if anyone's interested, there's a set of 17" SE wheels on eBay currently at $600 ending on Feb 1st.

What about the other aluminum kit they sell on ebay. I think someone has that one installed. I searched but couldn't find pics of it installed. If you have the kit, please post pics.

That kit is "faux" aluminum. I contacted the seller but they are unable to mold real materials into a kit (Real Carbon Fiber, Real Aluminum).

Wait a minute... doesn't the AE have some aluminum touches? Can we get our hands on them?

Punkdork, the AE finish is painted on. It really doesn't look much different than a GXE finish. I can't figure out how Nissan calls it simulated carbon fiber. That new kit on Ebay looks good. I need to see more pictures however.

Doh.. Carbon Fiber... Aluminum.. whats the difference. Hows the JT Aluminum look? (In case you guys haven't noticed I'm on a slight dash trim kick here.)

I won the auction on EBay. I'll post back my opinion once I receive the stuff.

My research tells me this is the only alumninum looking molded kit. I could be wrong.

I was thinking of bidding on this. I exchanged email with the company who makes it. Please take pictures, if you can.

that kit is simulated metal. in other words, painted. why dont u just paint ur stock interiors instead of wasting money on an overlay?

My JWT is not painted. It has a clear plastic coating on top. The problem with the stock trim is that it's painted and mine scratched off. I think if I painted the stock trim, it would scratch off and reveal the stock surface.

sand off that stock finish and paint over it. itd fit better than a kit too.

Has anyone tried this yet? I'm thinking of trying it. I wonder what paint would look good. I don't have much experience with this kind of thing.

I'm not the best a painting. That is why I opted to go with a cover, so to speak.

For those of you interested in this kit, I found it is a "woodview" brand kit.

Go here to see it:

http://www.autodash.com/

First selection:
"Include all manufacturers"

Second selection:
"Molded dash kit"

Third selection:
"Nissan"

Enter "Maxima" as the model.

Click "Search".

On the search results page, click "more info".

It lists for $231.00

Thanks Mdeal!

That's a new one. Last time I checked, they didn't have the molded dash. They have 6 different finishes.
