FYI, basslink prices

I've been browsing ebay lately putting in bids on basslink setups and they all seem to go up to the $190-$205 range. Thats for a new or slightly used basslink either with or without the remote bass control.

I found that etronics has the basslink for $219.00 plus shipping to me in Kansas is $15.00, making the total price $234.00 for a NEW basslink.

If I were to go the Ebay route, the basslink would be around $195.00 or so with between $22.00 to $30.00 shipping, making the total around $217-$225 for one without a receipt, without factory warranty, and being shipped.

Etronics seems to be the way to go. I'll post later once I get it and let you know how it is.

Btw, I went to Circuit city to look at theirs. They said installation would be $55.00, plus, I would need a line level converter, plus I would need an amplifier install kit which is basically a power wire to turn it on remotely.

Warning! I went and looked at the Basslink at Circuit City and they were selling it for $269. I asked and installation and they said it would be $61 + plus the amp kit. However, when I told them I wanted to bring the Basslink in, they said if I did not have a receipt saying I purchased it from them, they would not install it.

I also don't think the $219 price included the remote control. It's an additional $24.99.

i dont need the remote control. The bass adjustments can be made directly on the unit itself anyway.

The remote control can be had on ebay for $15.99 plus shipping if I really needed it.

It may also be worth it to check around on Sounddomain's forums. I got mine used and still in very good condition from a fellow member there for $160.

Ok let me settle this. You can get a brand new basslink on e-bay with remote for $200 shipping included. I did and had it installed with remote at Circuit City. They are b.s.ing you. Take it to another Circuit City. Just talk to the installer and go in and set up an appt. They will work with you. Just tell them you can get one online for way cheaper than they are selling it. You are paying them for labor. The basslink comes in a box with all the paperwork anyway. I had no problems whatsover.
