Teins installed, love em!

A friend and I installed the teins with KYB Gr2's in 5 hours and what an amazing difference! I love em!!

teins = $150.00 (group buy)

KYB GR2's = $190.00 (Friend works at KYB)

Best $340.00 dollars i ever spent.

Guys i would totally hook everyone up if i could but my buddy is only aloud to buy one set a year for himself unfortunetly

I'm sorry to hear about you getting ripped by an org member, that sucks the big one.

I'm very satisfied with the ride, it is a tad bit bumpier but its soooo nice and stiff now. No more swaying like a boat. ohhh yeah it loooks sooooo sweet also.

Yeah, coilovers rule, but I'll stick with Teins and KYB GR-2's for my every day driver.

Why does everyone continue to slam other drops? Its pointless. We all are different and thank god for that. I love my Eibach's and Tocks. Im a happy little guy. Its like comparing Kraft cheese with another brand of cheese or something like that. Personnal preference.

Anyone have any info on the Tein Super Street Coilovers? The Tein homepage says that the Super Street Dampers are coming soon for the 2000 Maxima(http://www.tein.com/ssdamp.html), but another site that I visited is selling them for $1150 for the 2000 Max(http://www.apexr1.com/teinsscoilov2.html). Anyone have these or have any info on them? Thanks in advance.

you want a nice really low spring get the tein
you want a nice normal drop stiff get eibach
you want a nice drop with comfort, get H&R

I just got my Teins the other day, but I still need to get shocks. Is it bad to put on the springs with stock shocks? I'm definitely going to get the shocks, but I wanted to know if i could install the springs and ride around for a month or two on the stock shocks??? Thanks in advance!!

Cant argue with that. For the $ Ill stick with the Teins, however id still rather have JIC's just the #'s are not too practical.

You wont have any problems with the Teins on stock shocks. I just wouldn't plan on leaving them that way on a permanent basis. Email or pm me if you have any other questions about it.

The OEM struts do not have enough dampening pressure to properly control the Teins. You will be bouncing all over the place, and the first week will be pure hell til it breaks in. It was pretty bad on mine the 1st week and I have Toks, but now its just fine. Not even pot holes are a big bother.

Mine doesn't bounce all over the place. I don't / wouldn't recommend the stock struts for long turn use but in the short term, they work just fine.

Short term? Well I guess if you want to have the install job done twice then its fine for a little while.
