Boy I miss the speed of my Camaro!

Getting on the freeway this morning in my 2k1 I notice not a car for miles. I come around the bend quickly as my RSB is the $hit. Get straightened out and floor it onto the freeway. I notice the new M3 I lost around the bend way back in the distance. I am still pedal to the metal and his car is getting closer and closer. Finally I am at speedlimiter 136mph and he gained the 1/4 mile on me and proceeds to pass me at 150+mph or so it seemed.

I love my Max but damn do I miss the Z28s power. That same model M3 I just killed months earlier in my Z28 on the highway, and badly.

Now here is the question:

Does that new Stillen roots blower bolt on and work on a 6mt G35 sedan?

Are ya feelin me?

Re: Boy I miss the speed of my Camaro!

ATI is coming out with a procharger for the 350z, so should work for the G35, heard it's better than the Stealin.

I know it does fit on the 350z and manual coupe but im sure you can slap it on and make a custom job with little trouble.

02 would get to the speed faster then the 01, but then it would have hit the speed limiter eventually and the M3 would just pass it like water.

skyline would have stayed away from it

What speed limiter? The auto has a limter BUT the 6spd doesnt. I remember like a yr ago the owner of frankencar took his 6spd up to 155 with 4people in it and still had a bit more to go, just ran out of road. His has to be an auto.

That is what I figred, my auto 3.0 could get to that speed as well (just takes me longer ) the 6spd however has shorter gears which allow it to keep walking at 140 even 150 and if there is enough room 160 should still be of no problem. In that case, with a 6spd you should have been able to hold off the M3 since they are limited like all bimmers to 155, unless he was chipped, then your screwed he will pull right on up to 170+

No it doesnt, BUT if the max (6spd) is already goin 120+ and sees a M3 reeling in from the rear those extra 35mph can be had be4 the bimmer reachs you (it topps off at 155 unless is chipped then your screwed no matter what) I dont consider that a kill because I know those things are beasts the run low 13's to hi-12 stock but it still somewhat proves a point considering he was not able to pass IF your able to hold em back. Id still rather have the new M3 over my max anyday.

yeah, imagine a 6sp would just hit 155mph and the M3 was not chipped and would also reach 155mph but like 200 feet back

the guy would feel terrible not been able to pass a maxima lol
3.5 liter maximas have more torque then the M3, M3 has 262 torque at 4900rpm. its the HP that makes these things a beast

Exactly my point, unless your runnin nitrous or something I know the 6spd does not stand a chance against that thing, but there are ways to make the driver of the new M feel like crap. Not being able to pass a 4dr car is one of them, like I said its not a real kill but would still accomplish making the driver the the M feel stupid

Are you guys talking E36 or E46 M3?? Both are quicker than stock Maximas (any year) but the E36 is governed @ 130mph.

I'm NOT a big fan of the Z28 but they pack ALOT of bang for the buck!!

if the M3 ahs 262 lbft of torque, then it has more horsepower AND torque than a 3.5...

unless you are talking about the "unofficial" numbers of the 3.5L Maxima, AND a Franken Intake...

but stock for stock, by Manufactures Specs, the M3's 3.2 has more HP and TORQUE than a 3.5L Maxima

Yes the 3.2 E46 does outshine the 3.5 in nearly every way you look at it. Any bimmer ive been in pulls like a **** in 3rd gear its obviously geared for high speed driving but all I was trying to say is the 6spd might...MIGHT be able to hold it off at a top speed run if the bimmer is playing catch up. There is no way in hell the N/A 3.5 can touch the E46, I love that car, the e36 can handle better but who cares id still take a E46 anyday. All id do is a Dinan chip intake and exhaust and your pushin well over 375hp and top speed runs will result well over 170+mph those cars are sweet
