HID Kit vs. OEM HID

I've been giving HIDs a lot of thought recently as my stock headlights are really not bright at all! I've been wanting to get OEM HIDs for a while now, but recently I've seen two or three maximas with 8000k HID Kits. What would you recommend? Getting the 2k2 HIDs AND 8000k HID kits is out of the question, lol, but which do you guys recommend?

In that case the factory 4300K bulbs will be much brighter than the 800K kit the 8000K are bluer but if you want visabilty over looks the 4300K fictory kit is what you want. Looks wise the 8000K will look better though so ask yourself if you want looks or function...

Go with the 2k2-3 headlights...HID's arent meant to go into halogen headlights...if you put in aftermarket hid's into halogen lamp = ****ty beam pattern + an annoying glare to other drivers.

It doesnt matter which he goes with, HID is still gonna give you more then double the output of stock halogens. You better drop your car be4 you do this.
You can get a HID converions from $400 on up, if you want the look of the 2k2 HID's those are 725 each from the dealer and with tax should rack up well over $1500.

I just ordered my 7000K KOPS bulbs.

Seriously Zach, drop your damn car before you do anything else. It will be less than $300 installed after all is said and done.

Andy, post pics of the 7000K after you get them. I want to see them before I buy.

IMO, 6000K looks the best, but they were right when talking about visibility, white is the best way to go, purple/blue just look cool

Does anybody know what K bulbs the 2004 Maxima comes with they look like 6000K to me but that might be because they have projectors though.

I am pretty sure the 04 Maxima utilizes a projector housing, thats why the color is more pronounced.

You've seen that 5th gen at Pavilions with the HID kit before right Zach? IMO it looks just as good as the 2k2+ HIDs, but saves you some money.
