It says simple on the ads but...

I think I have it figured out mostly. But where do you plug into the headlight switch? I have no idea where it is located.

Also, did anyone wire in fuse holders between the harness and the battery? What amperage? And did anyone put the wiring harness in flexloom of any kind? Or just mount the wiring harness as is?

Any and all help appreciated,
thanks,
jimmy

In an idiot's sudden flash of insight (and really looking at the harness) I figured out for myself where it plugs in--one of the existing headlight harnesses of course.

However, my other questions of wire shielding and inline fuse still stands.

What are you trying to do? That may help us figure out what the problems are.

I am not having any problems (yet)
I am putting the H4 headlights in my car, and bought the wiring harness that everyone recommends to go with it. I see how to install it. I was just wondering if anyone else who has installed the heavy duty harness has wired in fuse holders. From what I am seeing, you plug the hd harness into one of the existing headlight harnesses, then plug the bulbs into the hd harness, attach the ground wires to the chassis and the red wires directly to the battery. I dont see where this new system is protected by a fuse? In the relays they include?

a light bulb is basically a fuse.. rarely do anyone use fuses with lightbulbs.. some use it with strobes but even so many ppl rarely use fuses for those or neon lights. the lights blow oh well your circuit is still good that' what ppl are trying to protect. i'm guessing if you have a fuse at a lower wattage than the bulb then it'll blow after a short while. and if u have one that is at the same rating prolly both blow at the same time, one higher than the bulb rating then the bulb blows prior to the fuse..
