CV Joint Problem

Started hearing a slight grinding sound coming from the right front wheel several days ago. Sounds kind of like a bad wheel bearing, or when brake pads wear and are metal to metal on the rotor. I checked the brake pads, and they're still fine at almost 29000 mi. Have to assume it's in the CV joint, but there's no clicking. Got worse, so I took the car to Nissan today, but they won't get to it til tomorrow. Worried that they'll try to blame my H$R Springs / KYB shocks for geometry changes that stressed the CV joint and won't cover repair under warranty. Anyone have a similary experience? The car only dropped 1" and shouldn't affect the drive axels, right?

I noticed that I have a leaky right side inner CV boot and there is axle grease everywhere. 20k miles seems a bit premature for such a thing to happen but hopefully it's a warranty item. And my dealer isn't going to give me crap about my springs. I just have to remove a few other things they arent allowed to see.
