auto shift on incline

does anybody else have the problem when you are on an incline(even the slightest), to take the car out of park and put it into reverse or drive. i mean with mine i really have to pull back pretty hard, almost like i have to force it. on a flat surface though, no problem of course. my roomate has a 4 gen and its still smooth on the incline of our driveway. is this just expected for a 2k GLE? thanks

p.s. already have tried pressing the brake harder and putting the emergency brake on first.

I'm not sure when you're putting the emergency brake on. You have to put it on when you park before you shift from drive to park. So in other words, pull into your space that you plan to park in, put on the emergency brake, and then shift it into park. When you are ready to leave you shouldn't have a problem putting it into gear.

its not good to let the car rest in park without the e-brake on when parked on hills. that hard shifting into gear is not a good thing. do like 03blkSETE said and put the e-brake on before you shift into park. then when you go to put it in drive again, just apply the regular brake normally, and the shift into D should be normal
