Sub install in spare tire well

Sub install in spare tire well
Just wanted to know if anyone has done it. I scaled back from 2 Eclipse Ti's 12" to one. Currently I'm using a 1.5^3ft box. I was considering making an enclosure to fit into the spare tire well, but am unsure as to how it will sound. From what I have read, the optimum sub placement is either directly towards or away from the cab. I'd like to know if anyone has done a similar install and if they are satisfied with the sound.
Thanks

I am dropping 2 Eclipse Aluminum 12's in my spare tire compartment on Saturday...Cwally had it in his Max and he hit close to 150 db's with it... I have heard it in person , and it rocks for sure. If you're running Titaniums, OMG ! ..Just curious what you are powering them with ?

uhh, that space is occupied by your spare tire. Where would you put your spare?
You NEED a spare tire on your car in case of emergency.

I'd do the same thing, but I already have hearing trouble as it is.

Spare tires are overrated. That's what AAA if for. Also, if you are lowered, riding on a donut sized spare tire isn't too smart.
