Need Help For Future Plans
Need Help For Future Plans
well here it goes. i am planning on getting the tein springs for my 2000 max gxe and the guy at the dealer said something about messing up the suspension or something. so, i would like to get some advice for what kind of suspension would be best.and how much do they averagely cost?
oh also, i'm planning on using the front for tein which lowers the car 2.2" and i think it was sprint for rear which lowers the car 2.0" what do you all think?
i'm a new B so a lot of info is kewl.
thx.

Dealers have a big hang up about mods... Some will advise against it because they want to help you and protect your investment with warranty and all. Others just say bullsh!t to make people think...if i drop my car its gonna quit working. Take for example the the financing guy at melloy nissan albequerque NM. He was all about mods he was like you should try to adapt the Z's brembo system and put an intake and exhaust and drop it with some rims and all this stuff. But then you get a hold of people who dont know anything about mods and think that the car was engineered not to be messed with and it makes me think "dont they know that engineers are the ones making these mods" i bet the aftermarket companies know what they ae doing. if they didnt it wouldnt be a multimillion dollar a year industry.
it is unlikely that new struts/springs will hurt your car unless you drive like an idiot and smash up the front end of your max a speedbump because of the drop. I wouldnt mix the springs though. Like i said the were designed by engineeers to work as a set. go with one company all the way around and replace your struts at the same time because your factory ones wont last long on aftermarket springs since they are already well used
