Question to people with Injen

I just got done installing my Injen CAI. I took it for a spin and it sounds awesome! and it pulls like hell! The one thing that I'm experiencing though is a "turbo kick" for lack of a better description. Is this normal? And no it's not the lack of power hesitation type stuff it pulls just fine but once it reaches 4000rpm it just takes off.

Just want to make sure everything is ok.

its when you dont feel more power you should complain. You are feeling the variable intake system kick in giving that boost feeling
WHEELMAN
if it has more power roll with it

I'm definetly cool with the extra "boost". thanks for helping out. I'm sure there has been a ton of recommendations for Injen but I can only join the line and say that it rocks!

i have to order it off the net. There are no good tuning shops here or any parts places that carry brand name aftermarket stuff around here. Plastic owns the net

Yep, that's the 4k kick. The funny thing is we have tons of dyno's and none of them show a huge increase in torque or hp at 4k. My question is how could this be?

You've done this before haven't you And yeah I know...plastic rules the net, I do use plastic but don't like to keep a balance. That's what I meant by using cash. BTW if you don't have good site to get one from I can recommend adventon.com, someone else on hte org recommended it to me. The Injen CAI is $218 and some change shipped to your door.

Injen CAI = Injen(brand name) CAI(Cold air intake)...the pipe for the intake is longer and shoots down and away from the engine so it dosent suck in the hot engine air, unlike regular air intakes. Basically colder air is better for your engine and gives your a lil more pony's.

Great another mod coming? I have spent a fricken fortune on this car already, well a fortune to me, springs, struts, sway bar, fstb, tires, it goes on and on. How much are these and how much to install or is it easy do it yourself?

Here's an idea. Because it's all in your head? You're actually surprised that your car pulls harder once it hits the power band?

LOUDER does not = faster.

Battery is disconnected for 24 hrs (may or may not help on a 2K2) and I'll try it out tonight. I will post pics in the next few days....

it's not in his head. I had to take my intake off for 2 weeks while it went back and forth to the dealer. There is a noticeable change when going from aftermarket to stock and back.

You're right, it is louder, but it's also... 'better' (quantify that )
