EBay BEWARE-Brembo Gran Turismo Brakes

Found an Ebay auction for Brembo Gran Turismo Brake System, 5th gen Maxima, no reserve, starting at only $5.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=2422880295
Being cautious of why anyone would sell this expensive a brake system for possibly so cheap, decided to e-mail the seller to ask some questions. Here is the result of two e-mails with the guy.

"Is the bid for a specific boxed kit or is the auction for a kit "on the shelf" and would have a choice of caliper colors(black, red,or silver)? Can you send a photo of the actual kit being auctioned? If I win the auction, would prefer to pay with MasterCard."

His response. Notice his return address.

From: "Arthur" <art@alcom.ru>
Subject: Re: Question for seller -- Item #2422880295

We have the kits in stock and you'll have the choice of color of calipers. It's OK to pay by credit card, but the shipping and billing addresses should be the same.
Best Regards

Strange ISP and extension. Went thru my ISP and McAfee Security to trace this thing. Here's my last contact with him.

"A question. Your e-mail address (<art@alcom.ru>) has an extension that ties to an overseas site http://www.alcom.ru/, Moscow I believe. Is this where the kit is coming from, or is it warehoused here in the USA? Anything that you can provide to give me some comfort in this transaction would be appreciated."

The guy has not gotten back to me after this. I wonder why?

Just making everyone aware of this one. What's the old saying, "If a deal seems to good to be true,......"

Im originaly lithuanian, and I use few email addresses ending with .lt . so what's bad in this ?

and look to the auction again, current bid 810$. 19 bids, and it still not over.

I just think the seller thought you not intresting in buying, so why he has to answer to silly questions ?

Just because someone has an e-mail extension that is not .com/.net doesn't mean that it's someone trying to fukc you over.

Just a thought.

Dude.....lots of auctions have a starting bid of $5. Do you honestly think the auction will end even remotely that low? Also, he has decent feedback, so that should speak for itself.

I actually start most of my auctions at a penny.

Someone has already bid US $2,025.00. For that person's sake, I hope it is legit.
