Front Rotor Replacement
Well, I have a 3rd generation max, but the idea should be the same.
1) Jack up the car and take off the tire.
2) Remove the bottom bolt on the caliper and slide the caliper up. Wiggle the caliper and remove it from the "torque member" -- where the brake pads are set upon.
3) Secure the caliper with a wire so that the brake line does not get damaged.
4) Remove the brake pads and the shims on the pad.
5) Remove the torque member by removing two bolts on the inner side of the rotor.
6) Take the rotor off the axle. If the rotor does not come off from the hub, then hit the inner side of the rotor with a rubber mallet or place a 2x4 and hit it with a hammer. Another way is to buy two bolts (don't know the size for the 5th generation) from a auto parts store and screw it on the rotor. If you see the rotor carefully, you will see two holes where the bolt will screw on.
Hope this helps.
