Battery Relocation

Anybody done this yet? Im thinking its a good idea especially if you have a WAI to get more air in there. Im not sure where to purchase the kits though can anybody shed some light and maybe post some pics

i have not done it yet either. i have seen kits at summitracing.com and was interested for two reasons. one to help get more air for my intake and also to transfer a little bit of weight to the rear. i dont expect it to be life changing for either reason but every little bit helps. i think i may wait til my current battery dies and i can replace it with a gel cell. i would feel better about having the gel in the trunk than the nissan battery.

you really dont want to transfer weight to the rear on a fwd car do you?want as much weight on the drive wheels for traction....relocate is good on rwd because it puts weight on the rear of the car for traction....wouldnt it be the same for a fwd...(weight on the drive wheels?

i dont think the weight transfer will affect my traction much. im auto with a lsd, lowered with gr-2 and michelin a/s. traction is not too much of an issue unless im hitting it in a puddle. like i said though, it wont be a huge difference. i guess i figured since ive got enough traction that i would want to help balance the weight anyway i could.

a freakin battery wont hurt any weight transfer. you got nothing to worry about that. i even think its better, because you are getting closer and closer to the 50/50 weight ratio if you start moving stuff from the front to the back

well its about 50 pounds its not terible but it does take weight off the drive wheels....yea 50 50 would be great if your road racing....if your gonna drag 50 50 would be stupid.....on take off the ratio would end up 30f 70r...what good is that?...i never said it would be huge diff but transfering weight from the front to rear would not be ideal for a frd car....thats all i was saying

Well the 2nd pic that shows the fuse holders, people dont really seem to realize how large the main 150amp fuse holder is till I took this picture.
