Keyless entry -- hazards don't flash -- why?

After (extensive) front end repairs to my 2003 Max GLE (caused, sadly, by theft of my HID headlights), my hazards no longer flash when I lock/unlock the car via keyless entry. Anyone have any idea why? All fuses seem to be OK. Is this a relay issue? Something else? Thanks!

You can change what happens when you lock/unlock with the remote. Have you checked this yet? It's in the manual, but I think you can hold the lock and unlock keys for about 2 seconds (?) and it will change back and forth.

Yes -- I've checked the manual, but holding the remote only switches between horn and no horn. Lights should flash in either mode.

Correct. However they only flash when locking - not unlocking. I would take it back to the body shop and have them fix it. After spending all that money it should be done right.

ps: the parking lights work otherwise right?

Yes -- parking lights otherwise work. And right, only flash when locking. If I can't solve the problem relatively easily myself, I'll ake it back to the body shop, but wanted to see if there might be an straightforward fix so I can avoid the hassle.

OK, I took my car to a dealership;
It was a failure in SMART CONTROL UNIT.
Got it fixed under the warranty
