racing straight pipe

Anyone with the racing straight pipe from cust. max?Is it worth the buy for a 02 6-sp.? Horsepower gains/claims are mighty high just want to know if it is a bunch of fluff or true gains.tanx

I had one, but not that one. I would only get that one if you live in the NYC area and do alot of street races, the cops are known to look under and see if you removed your cat and replaced it with a straight pipe.

If you dont have that issue, then just get a standard $30 testpipe. You wont see much gains unless you are boosted.

You should still see in slight increase in how the car pulls past 4K.

Well dyno proven it did almost nothing for me. Maybe tops 1whp. Boosted the airflow is much much greater and pushes it to well over a 10whp increase.
