Do you think the dealer really changed it? The tranny shifts exactly the same and has the same problems as before. The dealership says they changed the TCM and it fixed it. I notice no change. Is there a way to tell if the TCM has been replaced without tearing into the console?
BTW, this is an attempt to fix the third bad tranny. The solenoids were already updated on the first tranny. The second and third tranny should have the new solenoids. I suspected the TCM was never relaced so this was supposedly done today but I seem to think not.
They said they got a code for line pressure as well (which explains my reverse problem) but he discounted it.
I am going to have a field day on Monday with them.
So how do I tell if the TCM was replaced?

shift points will still be the same with any 2k-2k1 TCM unfortunately. The updated TCM only quickens up the lag on the 1-2 upshift.

I'm sorry , but do you mean that the 1-2 shift is quicker, or that the lag is even longer on the 1-2 shift. If it takes less time to go from 1-2 then I might consider getting a new TCM.Originally posted by ScreamingVQ
