Cold Air Intake Questions!!!!
Place Racing CAI
I would say PR CAI but u hafta cut a 4" hole in ur fenderwall for it too work. I doubt u wanna do that too a brand new car. And IMO it provides the best gains as it is a TRUE CAI. Not a "CAI" that sits in the eng. bay picking up hot engine air

You should FEEL the gain with franken car to say the least. Nothing
but definetly an imporvment. Not the mention a sound that you will
over when you get on it. Only down side is your gonna have to wait a little while be4 you actually get it to your door. Back in the day I got mine in less then 1 week after I ordered but now its taking 2-3 months for some reason. Ill tell you this much though, after its installed and you go for a test drive you will completly 4get about the wait

I'll throw Injen into the thread... I like mine a lot.

(please ignore the green circle... it was answering someone's question
another (not my car)

if you live in a place where its always hot...then get an Injen
if you live in a place that isnt so hot then get the frankencar
when its really hot out you can defintley notice the bad pull you have with a WAI. with the injen you wont really feel it because it counts as a cold air intake

I did a thread on the results from the CAI vs. WAI vs. Stock. The WAI won. But you can search the 5th gen forum by my name and find it if you want to read it for yourself.
The Frankencar is the WAI that shows the most improvement. But the improvement over Stillen, JWT, and other WAIs is minimal (1-2 HP Max).
The only TRUE CAI for the Maxima is the Place Racing. The Injen is not a CAI, but is called a CAI because it has a nice long tube that allows it to suck in "cooler" air than a WAI.
The PR CAI requires a 3.25" hole to be drilled in the fenderwell.
The Injen requires no engine modification (except slightly moving a small bar out of the way of the mount if you are an auto).
The JWT, Stillen, and Frankencar WAI require no modification to the car.
