CD Player Driving me CRAZY

For the past few months my CD player has been skipping like crazy on and off, and recently I have been getting a lot of "CD ERR" messages when turning the CD player on. I have the 2k Premium (non-Bose) sound package. Has anyone had experience in dealing with this problem?

It's pretty much all CDs now, but most of mine are burned. (Don't want to get the originals stolen) But i've been using burned CDs for 3 years now, and only now it's been giving me trouble.

.. and I'll have to take a look at that TSB. Too bad I'm 2 months out of warranty.

I didn't think the TSB was restricted by the warranty, is it?

I couldn't find the TSB in the TSB sticky. Does anyone have a link?

Will the dealer charge me for TSB work after my warranty's expired?

I havnt noticed this yet, but my steering controls are out of whack though. If I touch the volume thing 1/3 times it goes to the next track, hell one time my finger was like .25" away from it and it went to the next track Sometimes nissan makes me wonder.

I may have the solution to ur problem. Have you tried cleaning the cd player with one of those cd cleaners u can get about anywhere? This happened to me, and after I cleaned it. It started working like a champ. Let me know if this worked for ya!

It's not. But if you're out of warranty... you have to PAY for the TSB work.

I'm sure all dealerships would perform any TSB you asked if you told them you'd pay for it.
