My car will not rev past 2K rpm and when i floorit it will try to stall. I think it is my MAF but what else could it be. I tried reseting my computer but the light just came back up. Please help, a new MAF sensor is $480.

A new MAF sensor is $75. Get the sensor itself, not the entire housing. Call DaveB for the part #. Also, take your car to checker and have them run a diagnostic on it.

Take it to autozone and ask them to run diagnostics on it, it's free there.

yes they have the right equip/ Any mechanic with an OBD-II compatible doo-hickey will be able to tell you what it is throwing for a code. Then you start to diagnose.

At this point, I would have to agree with kloogy. If it is dead I would try and spray some K&N filter cleaner on it, and then dry it really well. it worked for a couple of members, it might work for you.

I bought my MAF sensor and it was something like a hundred dollars shipped with overnight. I just had to get it as soon as possible. It will come in today and i will install it asfter work. Is there any sort of calibration that needs to be done. I have had my battery unplugged since yesterday so i think that will reset my computer.

Can you tell if the MAF is blown by just looking at it?? Are there any visual cues without having a OBD-II diagnostic performed?? Thanks in advance guys.

how did you blow it? were you giving it full gas at the time?
my MAFS blew about a week ago right after i installed a weaponR intake. my car is actually at the nissan place right now cuz they're overnighting a MAFS. the guy wouldn't let me order it to my house for me to install cuz the car is still under warrany and they said the work had to be done by a nissan certified tech. 4 stupid screws have to be turned by a certified technician
