Back to the subject, the spring is safe as long as it doesn't bounce around loosely because it is too short. We tried cutting Maxspeeds and those would be unsafe to use. The Eibachs, however, fit in there just fine.
I've had my chopped Eibachs on for 5000 miles with no problems. The additional drop gained from cutting the fronts is exactly .5".
Teins and Progress are too low. H&Rs and Maxspeeds aren't enough. My chopped Eibachs sit dead even and the ride is decent.
