best way from 0-60

everyone talks about beating other cars on the road so I was wondering how to acc. to get best results from a stand still to wiping someone out. i have a 03 se.

03 SE... auto? manual?

auto, step on the gas... all the way.

manual,

1. step on the gas... all the way,
2. when the rpm gets to redline, shift quickly. Repeat step 1.

Auto, put it in 3. You could shift through the gate, but I don't think that will help. Just don't leave it in D.

obviously u dont know what u r talking about. If you step on the gas pedal all the way the car will spin the tires so hard that the other driver will already have 3 cars on you (even a civic).

Anyways i foud this technique to be the best. Break torque the car to about 1700 RPMS, when the light turns green let go of the break pedal and only press the gas pedal half way (your will get some tire spin, but minimal) once you feel that the car gripped the road floor it and either manually shift or leave it in 3r, i like to manually shift. Try it few times and get the feel of it

I forgot to say i have a AUTO. I will have to try leave it in third(isnt that o/d off) go either half way then floor it and now maybe i can get the feeling that i have fast car..thanks everyone..i hope i dont kill my car..j/k

off the subject: i just put my freakin key with remote on the paint of my car and it scrached it..this paint really does blow i need to talk to the dealer and see if there is a recall on 03max paint.

with automatic keep in D until you need quick pickup, then drop to 3, surge forward and dump back into D

When break torquing an auto, should u leave the TCS off or on?
